WATCH: Thanos' arrival begins 'Avengers: Infinity War' in first official trailer

As promised, the first ever trailer for Avengers: Infinity War is released by Marvel on Tuesday.
The official synopsis reads, " The Earth’s Mightiest Superheroes and The Guardians of the Galaxy collide to bring to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe. "
The trailer starts with Nick Fury's (Samuel L Jackson) dialogue from The Avengers movie in which he explains the idea of the initiative to bring these people with extraordinary skills together so that when the time comes, they will fight for those who can't do it themselves.
Later in the trailer, we see the brains of Avengers, Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Bruce Banner/The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) welcome Thanos in New York City. This is when for the first time we (the mere mortals who couldn't go to D23 Expo and watch all those amazing clips) get to see Thanos, out of his chair and in full mean glory!
What follows is massive destruction on Earth, the return of Captain America aka Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), and Wakanda coming out of isolation to save the world.
